Originally from Toronto, Canada, Austin was most recently seen performing in the North American tour of The Phantom of the Opera. Prior to that, she spent three years as a company member with Bruce Wood Dance in Dallas, TX. Austin has performed with Buglisi Dance Theatre, has played the role of Connie in “A Chorus Line,” and has been involved with pre-production for The Public Theater and Disney Cruise Line.
She has been featured in Dance Magazine and Dance Teacher Magazine. She began her professional dance training at Canada’s National Ballet School and earned a BFA in Dance from Marymount Manhattan College, where she also minored in Arts Management. Upon graduation, she was the recipient of Marymount’s coveted Gold Key Award for excellence in dance. Outside of performing, Austin works as the Development Associate at Artists Striving to End Poverty (ASTEP), an organization that connects visual and performing artists with children in underserved communities, teaching important life skills through the arts.
